Iadpluem Leads At 10 Under, Tar Heels Set School-Record Round To Par
March 10, 2025 | Women's Golf
University of North Carolina sophomore Ing Iadpluem carded back-to-back 5-under par 67s Monday to take the clubhouse lead in the Yale Invitational West as the Tar Heels set a school record with a 14-under-par second round on the Greg Norman Course at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif.

Carolina has a 10-shot lead over Kansas and leads Princeton by 16 strokes after 36 holes on Monday. The third and final round is Tuesday.

The Tar Heels were tied with the Jayhawks atop the leader board after the morning session as both teams shot 8-under 280. In the afternoon, all five Tar Heels shot below par, including three rounds in the 60s to shoot 14-under 273.

The 14-under-par round is the lowest score to par in UNC history. It breaks the record of 13 under set in the fall at the University of Virginia in the second round of the Cavalier Regional Preview, a tournament Carolina went on to win.

UNC's second-round stroke total of 274 is the second-lowest round in school history. The Tar Heels shot 271 in the same round at UVA where it was 13 under par (on a par 71 course).

Iadpluem has a two-stroke advantage in the individual standings. Her 10-under-par 134 is two shots ahead of Vanderbilt's Lynn Lim.

Carolina's Megan Streicher (70-69) is tied for fifth at 5-under 139, Reagan Southerland (72-68) is tied for seventh at 4-under 140, Marie Prats-Rigual (71-70) is tied for ninth at 3-under 141 and Helen Yeung (72-70) is tied for 14th at 2-under 140.

Katie Vu, playing as an individual entry, shot 69 in the first round and is tied for 34th at 3 over.
