Dark, Rodriguez Bring Home Weekly ACC Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After stellar weeks, Kenna Raye Dark and Kat Rodriguez earned ACC Weekly Honors the league announced Monday afternoon.
Rodriguez was named ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season (Feb. 18). The second baseman hit .526 (10-for-19) across six games last week, recording 10 hits, including two home runs and three doubles. Rodriguez added 16 RBI last week to take over the lead in the ACC in RBIs with 35 total. She also ranks fourth nationally. The Pembroke Pines, Fla. native also set a new single-game career high with her eight RBIs against Saint Joseph's on Feb. 28.
Dark threw the first no-hitter of her career on Mar. 2, in a 10-0 shutout against Saint Joseph's. The junior threw three complete games from the circle for three wins last week, recording a 0.00 ERA in 17.0 innings pitched. The Mebane, N.C., native walked just one batter while striking out 15, moving her winning streak to eight straight games and placing her in a tie for first in the conference in wins.
