Men's Tennis Earns No. 9 Seed In ACC Championship

The Atlantic Coast Conference released the bracket for the 2025 ACC Championship this weekend, and Carolina will open play on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in Cary against No. 16 seed Boston College.
Wake Forest defeated NC State, 4-2, on Saturday to win the regular-season title and hand the Wolfpack (20-5, 12-1 ACC) their lone loss of the conference slate, securing the No. 2 seed in the conference championship on April 16-20.
The top four seeds earn double byes into the quarterfinals on Friday, April 18. NC State is followed by No. 3 Stanford (19-5, 10-3 ACC) and No. 4 California (18-3, 10-3 ACC), with Stanford holding the head-to-head tiebreaker over California.
The men's championship starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday with a pair of first-round matches between No. 16 Boston College (5-14, 0-13 ACC) and No. 9 North Carolina (12-10, 6-7 ACC) on Bank 1 and No. 13 SMU (14-18, 2-11 ACC) and No. 12 Virginia Tech (10-14, 2-11 ACC) on Bank 2.
The second wave of first-round matches will commence at 6 p.m., with No. 15 Notre Dame (13-14, 1-12 ACC) taking on No. 10 Miami (13-9, 6-7 ACC) on Bank 1 and No. 14 Louisville (11-17, 2-11 ACC) facing No. 11 Georgia Tech (12-11, 5-8 ACC) on Bank 2.
The second-round action will take place on Thursday, April 17, starting at 3:30 p.m. In the first matches, No. 8 Clemson will face the winner of the Boston College versus Carolina match and No. 5 Virginia will compete against the winner of the SMU versus Virginia Tech matchup. Then, at 6 p.m., No. 7 Duke will battle the winner of the Notre Dame versus Miami match, while No. 6 Florida State will take on the winner of the Louisville versus Georgia Tech match.
The four quarterfinal matches will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, with the winners advancing to the semifinals on Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. Sunday's championship is set for 2 p.m. and will air on ACC Network Extra.
One-day tickets are priced at $15 for adults (ages 18 and older) and $10 for children ages 17 and under and non-ACC college students with a valid school ID. Admission is free for children 8 and under and ACC college students with a school ID. A full championship pass for all six days is priced at $30.Â
