White Earns ACC Co-Offensive Player Of The Week

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina sophomore attacker Marissa White has been named ACC Co-Offensive Player of the week for her performances against ECU and Cal. This is the first weekly accolade for White this season.

White was a driving force behind North Carolina's pair of victories last week that saw the Tar Heels score 41 goals. She tallied nine goals and an assist over the two games to help the Tar Heels win both. She posted a season-high four goals, along with an assist, at ECU and then came back to set another season high with five goals versus Cal. White now has 29 goals on the season, which is second on a team that ranks second nationally in scoring offense.
The top-ranked Tar Heels will finish off the regular season on Thursday when they head to Durham to face the Blue Devils. First draw is scheduled for 6 p.m. with the broadcast airing on ESPNU.
