CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina head women's lacrosse coach Jenny Levy was formally inducted into the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Hall of Fame on Thursday at the organization's honors dinner in St. Pete Beach, Fla. This is Levy's second Hall of Fame induction as she entered the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2021.
One of the game's great figures, Levy has led Carolina women's lacrosse since its inception in 1996. She ranks second in all-time wins with 443, including an ACC-high 118 league victories. She is one of only four people to win NCAA titles as a coach and player and is one of only four coaches with four or more national titles. She's been named National Coach of the Year four times and earned eight ACC Coach-of-the-Year honors.
Over her 30 seasons in charge of the Tar Heels, Carolina has won four NCAA championships, eight ACC Tournament titles and 11 ACC regular season crowns. UNC has reached the NCAA semifinal 14 times and her 46 NCAA Tournament wins are second all-time.
Under Levy's leadership, 70 Tar Heels have earned All-America recognition and 125 have been tabbed All-ACC. She's coached 16 National Players of the Year, 11 ACC Players of the Year, a Tewaaraton Award winner and 13 Tewaaraton finalists.
In addition to her work at the collegiate level, Levy served as the U.S. National Team head coach from 2017-22. She guided the U.S. to the 2022 World Championship. Levy was also a player on the national team in 1991.
