Top-Seed Women's Lacrosse Starts Postseason With ACC Tournament

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Top-seed North Carolina women's lacrosse will head to Charlotte this week for the ACC Tournament starting with Virginia Tech on Wednesday, April 23. First draw is set for 11 a.m. at American Legion Memorial Stadium.
All tournament games will air on ACC Network with Jay Alter, Sheehan Stanwick Burch, Charlotte North and Dana Boyle on the call.

- Chloe Humphrey has scored six goals four times this season and has tallied hat tricks in 12-of-15 games. Her 64 goals rank third nationally and second in the ACC. She is now seventh on UNC's single-season goals list and has tallied the most goals by a freshman since Jamie Ortega's 70 in 2018. Her 82 points are tied for seventh nationally and rank fourth in the league. She only needs one more point to enter UNC's single-season Top 10.
- Ashley Humphrey is currently fifth on UNC's all-time assists list (99) and third on the single-season list (61). Her 4.07 assists per game lead the country (61 in 15 games) and her 84 points are tied for eighth on UNC's single-season list. She is the NCAA's active leader in assists (229) and assists per game (3.37) and ranks second in points per game (5.00).
- UNC has four Tewaaraton Award Nominees in Sam Forrest, Ashley Humphrey, Chloe Humphrey and Brooklyn Walker-Welch. The four honors are the second most in the country.
