
Levy Tabbed ACC Coach Of The Year, Osburn Claims Freshman Award

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's lacrosse head coach Jenny Levy has been named ACC Coach of the Year, while midfielder Eliza Osburn was tabbed Freshman of the Year, the conference announced on Wednesday. This is the eighth time in Levy's illustrious career that she's earned conference coach of the year honors.

Now in her 30th season at the helm of Carolina women's lacrosse, Levy guided the Tar Heels to both the ACC regular season and Tournament championships this season. She has UNC ranked No. 1 in all major polls, and the Tar Heels are the only undefeated team in the country. Overall, Levy has produced a record of 439-130 during her career, which includes three national championships and eight ACC titles.

Osburn, a Castle Rock, Colo. native, has turned in an outstanding freshman season in midfield, earning second-team All-ACC honors and claiming a spot on the ACC All-Tournament team. She has scored 27 goals and dished out five assists for 32 points to support the nation's second-ranked offense. She's also tallied 44 draw controls, 11 ground balls and six caused turnovers to assist the country's top-ranked defense.
