Three From Softball Named CSC Academic All-District

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Three Tar Heels were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Softball Team, CSC announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Alex Coleman, Carlie Myrtle, Britton Rogers all earned the honor after excelling both in the classroom and on the softball diamond.

Coleman earned a 3.50 GPA with an exercise and sport science major and business administration minor, while having a major impact on the field in 2025. The senior scored a program record 58 runs while starting every game in right field.

Myrtle earned a 3.81 GPA in her Peace, War, and Defense (International Security and Intelligence) major and cognitive science/conflict management minor while clubbing 17 home runs with an on base percentage of .460.

Rogers had a 3.74 GPA with a psychology major. On the field she became the second Tar Heel pitcher to throw multiple perfect games, accomplishing the feat in the home opener against Drexel. She led the team with a 3.04 ERA, throwing 78.1 innings across 27 appearances.
