Men's Lacrosse Earns No. 8 Seed In NCAA Tournament

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina men's lacrosse team has earned an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Tournament, earning the No. 8 seed as announced on the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Selection Show Sunday night.
The Tar Heels will host Richmond in the opening round at Dorrance Field on Saturday at Noon.
Tickets for next weekend's NCAA first round are priced at $10 for reserved seating, $8 for general admission, $5 for group rate tickets and $5 for all UNC students. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10 AM, and can be purchased here.
Carolina is making its 34th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and collected the No. 8 seed for the fifth time in program history. The Tar Heels are 35-28 all-time in the national tournament and have advanced to 14 Final Fours, winning five NCAA Championships.
The Tar Heels enter NCAA postseason action sporting a 10-4 overall record on the year, including a share of the ACC Regular Season title.
First round matchups (May 10-11) will be held on campus sites at the higher seed, with the quarterfinals (May 17-18) hosted by Hofstra and Navy. The 2025 NCAA Semifinals (May 24) and Championship (May 26) will be held at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
