Men's Tennis Selected For 2026 ITA Kickoff Weekend

The University of North Carolina men's tennis team will take part in a regional in the 2026 ITA Men's Kickoff Weekend.
For the second consecutive year, the Tar Heels will head to the Winston-Salem Regional in Winston-Salem, N.C. Carolina, which finished No. 54 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings in 2025, will join No. 45 Vanderbilt and No. 76 Virginia Tech in visiting the defending NCAA champion Demon Deacons.
Serving as the qualifying pathway to the ITA Division I National Team Indoor Championships, the ITA Kickoff Weekend features 56 of the nation's best men's and women's programs competing at 14 men's and women's host sites across the country. Held from January 23-26, 2026, the Kickoff Weekend Draft provides coaches the opportunity to choose which host site they would like to compete at in the new year.
Based on ITA year-end ranking, the 14 men's and women's hosts are the 14 best teams in the country from the previous year. The draft order also follows ITA year-end rankings with the No. 15-ranked team getting the first pick in the draft and subsequent picks following the rankings until each host site has four total teams.
