Twelve From Softball Earn All-ACC Academic Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Twelve North Carolina softball players have been named to the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced Thursday.
The Tar Heels receiving the academic honors from the ACC include Shelby Barbee, Rayna Blackwell, Bryten Burns, Alex Coleman, Kenna Raye Dark, Grace Jackson, Carlie Myrtle, Reece Outlaw, Lilly Parrish, Kiannah Pierce, Lexie Roberts, and Britton Rogers.

It marks Coleman and Rogers' second career honor and Barbee, Dark, and Myrtle's third career honor.

12 honorees is an improvement from last season that saw the Tar Heels place eight on the list.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's educational career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests and 20 percent of their team's contests as a pitcher.Â
