Valahovic Earns Second Consecutive ACC Specialist Of The Week Honor

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced women's gymnastics weekly awards Tuesday evening. JoJo Valahovic was tabbed ACC Specialist of the Week for the second straight week.

The sophomore continues to impress on vault and beam posting multiple scores of 9.900 or higher last week across both events. Valahovic recorded a 9.925 to tie her career-high and team-high of the season on vault against NC State on Friday. In the same meet, Valahovic tied her career-high on beam with a 9.950. The sophomore became the event winner on both events.

At Metroplex, the sophomore recorded a 9.900 on vault to secure the event title. This marks the fifth meet where she's recorded a 9.900 or higher on the event and third straight. Valahovic also notched a 9.850 on beam at the meet.

Valahovic's consistency on vault ranks among the best in the nation and ACC. The Sagamore Hills, Ohio native ranks no. 6 in the NCAA and no. 1 in the ACC on the event.
