Pietramala, Duffy Pace Men’s Lacrosse Over No. 14 Johns Hopkins, 17-9

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Nine combined goals from Dominic Pietramala and Owen Duffy paced the fifth-ranked North Carolina men's lacrosse team over Johns Hopkins, 17-9.
With the win, the Tar Heels advance to 4-0 on the campaign, securing Carolina's first ranked win of the season.
How It Happened
• Carolina jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first quarter, courtesy of a goal each from Leif Hagerup, Owen Duffy and Dominic Pietramala.
• The programs traded three goals each in the second, with Pietramala, Duffy and Mason Szewczyk hitting the back of the net. After the opening 30 minutes, Carolina held a two-goal lead at the break, 6-4.
• Carolina outpaced the Blue Jays in the third quarter, 6-4, claiming a 12-8 edge entering the final frame.
• The Tar Heels scored five of the six goals by both sides in the fourth, en route to the eight-goal victory.
