Winslow Named To Buster Posey Award Preseason Watch List

WICHITA, Kan. – Carolina baseball's transfer catcher Macon Winslow has been selected as one of the 10 student-athletes to be named to the Buster Posey National Catcher of the Year Preseason Watch List, the organization announced on Wednesday morning.

Winslow, who came to Chapel Hill this summer after spending the last two seasons across the highway in Durham, enters 2026 with a career .278 batting average along with nine home runs, 13 doubles, and a triple. He was excellent in the 2025 postseason, earning a spot on the Athens Regional All-Tournament Team to help his team advance to supers.

The Diamond Heels and their highly touted backstop return to Boshamer Stadium on Friday, Feb. 13 for their season opener against Indiana.
