Tar Heels Welcome Matt Able To Chapel Hill

Matt Able, a 6-6 guard from Baltimore, is joining the University of North Carolina men's basketball team.
The rising sophomore averaged 8.8 points last season at NC State, where he scored in double figures 14 times, including a season-high 19 points against the Tar Heels.
Able made 49 three-pointers with a high of five against UNC and Florida State.
He led the Pack in scoring twice, shot nearly 80 percent from the free throw line and was second on the team in steals.
Able teamed with incoming UNC freshman Kevin Thomas to lead Sagemont Prep in Weston, Fla., to the 2025 Florida 1-A state title.
