Belichick, Three Tar Heels Set For ACC Kickoff July 17

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Carolina football head coach Bill Belichick, defensive lineman Melkart Abou Jaoude, offensive lineman Christo Kelly and wide receiver Jordan Shipp will preview the 2026 football season at ACC Kickoff July 17 at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown in Charlotte.
Belichick and the three players will meet with the media and television broadcast partners throughout the day on Friday, headlined by an appearance on ACC Network. The Tar Heels' schedule for the day features segments with CBS, ESPN, Sirius XM and numerous others during the full day affair.
ACC Network will broadcast live starting at 9 a.m. ET, delivering the most comprehensive coverage in the history of the event.
Carolina opens the season in Dublin, Ireland, for the 2026 Aer Lingus College Football Classic game against TCU on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Aviva Stadium. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.tarheels2ireland.com/.
Additionally, the Tar Heels will celebrate the 100th season of Kenan Stadium during the 2026 season with a series of special events, facility enhancements and fan experiences to honor 100 years of one of the most picturesque athletic venues in the country. The 100th season celebration will pay tribute to some of the most memorable moments in the history of Kenan Stadium, as well as provide fans with an upgraded experience on gamedays.
