Akot To Represent Canada At 3x3 Nations League Americas Conference

ÑUÑOA, CHILE – Hitting the international stage representing her home country of Canada, North Carolina women's basketball forward Achol Akot travels south to Chile to compete in the 2026 FIBA 3x3 Nations League Americas Conference from June 27-July 3.
Akot transferred to Carolina this offseason after spending a season at Oklahoma State, setting new career-highs in multiple categories. The Ottawa, Canada, native posted 12.1 points per game this past year, ranking second in the Big 12 in field goal percentage shooting 63.3% from the floor.
Boasting previous international experience with Canada, Akot competed last summer in 3x3 at the Women's Series Vienna Stop and in 2023 at the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup.
Competing in six three-game tournaments over seven days, Akot and Team Canada look to qualify for the 2026 FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup in September in China.

3x3 is played on a half court with a 10-minute clock and a 12-second shot clock. The first team to 21 points, or the team in the lead at the end of regulation, is the winner.
