Bio
2020 (Senior): Started all seven games on defense, finishing the season with one assist, 12 ground balls and six caused turnovers • His six caused turnovers tied for second most on the team • Opened his senior campaign with a career-best five ground balls and a career-high two caused turnovers against Colgate • Matched his personal CT record two more times – the following week against Mercer and in the final game of the season versus Bryant • Added two more GBs at Hopkins, three at Denver and one at Furman • Remainder of season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll • Tar Heel Scholar-Athlete for the spring and fall semesters of 2019.
2019 (Junior): Saw game action twice during the regular season at Mercer and versus Marist • Named to the 2018-19 ACC Academic Honor Roll • Dean's List both semesters • Represented men’s lacrosse team on 2018-19 UNC Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Personal: Patrick Joseph Lyons is the son of Dr. Garrett and Patricia Lyons • Born June 28 in Wilmington, Del. • Has four siblings – one brother, Garrett, and three sisters, Meghan, Faith and Jane • Majoring in business administration • Father played football at Carolina • His sister Meghan graduated from Carolina in 2013 and was a national champion field hockey player for coach Karen Shelton at UNC • Shuford Program in Entrepreneurship Innovation Fellow • UNC lacrosse’s community service captain • Founded a non-profit Youth Overcoming Obstacles for inner city youth.
