William McBride
Breschi on McBride: Another versatile player…he’s done everything for us over the years…unanimously picked by his peers to be a team captain…we’ve moved him down to defensive midfield…he’s playing on the wings on the face-offs…can do it all…can stay in and play offense…just a great leader…he’s a guy who sacrifices for the betterment of the team…he’s a great example to his teammates, that’s who Will McBride is…his leadership is as big as his play.
2018 (Senior): Elected one of five team captains…serves on UNC Athletics’ Student-Athlete Advisory Council.
2017 (Junior): Shared the team’s Needham Unsung Hero Award with Ryan Macri…played in 14 games, starting in first midfield against Dartmouth and Maryland…had six goals, two assists and nine ground balls during the season…scored a pair of goals in ACC win at Virginia…had two ground balls against UMBC, Furman and Virginia.
2016 (Sophomore): Saw action in 17 games...scored five goals, had two assists and scooped up 20 ground balls...opened the season with a two-goal, one-assist performance against Michigan...had a pair of goals in win over Virginia...also scored in NCAA semifinals versus Loyola and had an assist in NCAA championship game against Maryland...had a season-high four ground balls against Terrapins in the regular-season meeting...had two ground balls in five other games...named to ACC Academic Honor Roll for second year in a row.
2015 (Freshman): Had to overcome injury problems to play in five games...scored in the opening game of his career versus Furman...had a goal and an assist against Manhattan...scooped up three ground balls against UMass...Rising Star in Carolina Leadership Academy...named to ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Every high school recruit should dream of becoming a Tar Heel because of our pursuit of excellence.
Section #2: Your Interests
An ideal Saturday afternoon in the summer is playing golf.
My teammate with the best taste in music is Jack Halpert because he is from Baltimore.
My favorite professional sports team is the New York Giants.
The best movie I’ve ever seen on a lacrosse bus trip is The Martian.
The foreign country I would love to visit most is Ireland because I’m Irish.

My favorite tailgate foods are buffalo wings and crab dip.
My favorite fast food restaurant is Chick-Fil-A because of their chicken.
Sweet, salty or both? Sweet.
My favorite food made by a relative is Grandma McBride’s meatballs.
My favorite Chapel Hill dining spot is Pizzeria Mercato.

If I possessed the gift of time travel, I would go to Bane’s Underground Tunnels.
The people in history I would most want to have dinner with are both of my grandfathers.
People would be very surprised to know I like to long board.
In a quarter century I would love to be living in Italy and working at the Dionora.
The most interesting or fascinating person I’ve met in my time at UNC is Mike D’Alessandro because of his Fo-Hawk.
