Michael Nathan, 6-3, 220 pounds
Breschi on Nathan: Started last year…he really has improved with Coach Unterstein’s coaching methods…a big strong athletic kid…he’s going to be a big factor this year.
2018 (Junior): Played in 13 games, missing only Furman game due to injury…started last 10 games of season, beginning with the Mercer contest…thrived in his role as a starting close defenseman…recorded his first career point with an assist against Mercer…had 12 ground balls and eight caused turnovers on the season…had season-high four ground balls against Duke and had three ground balls in win over Notre Dame in season finale…had a season-high two caused turnovers in first career start against Mercer…earned honors on 2018-19 ACC Academic Honor Roll..won the team’s most improved award for strength & conditioning.
2017 (Sophomore): Saw action in two games on ACC championship winning squad…played in reserve role against UMBC and Lehigh…named to 2016-17 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Colby College: Played his freshman year at Colby College in Waterville, Maine...played in all 15 games for the Mules and made 13 starts...finished sixth on the Mules with 22 ground balls and added nine caused turnovers.
High School: Graduated from Barron Collier High School…was in attendance there from 2011-15...coached there by Trent Carter…played club lacrosse for MadLax where he was coached by Ralph Quillen...was a two-time U.S. Lacrosse All-America, two-time Naples Daily News Player-of-the-Year selection, four-year all-area selection, and a 2015 Florida first-team All-State selection...two-time team captain and twice named squad’s MVP...led squad to four district championships and Top five ranking in the state his junior and senior years, the highest rankings in Florida ever achieved by the school...member of MadLax National Team...National Honor Society member...Rho Kappa honor society member...youth lacrosse coach...volunteered for Meals For Hope…AP Scholar…volunteer with Ronald McDonald House…club lacrosse honors included all-star status at The Shootout, FLG in 30 and NSLLA.

The most underrated strength about my lacrosse game is my shooting.
My best friend on my high school lacrosse team was Zach Woods and he attends Northwestern.
Every high school recruit should dream of becoming a Tar Heel because our team is a family.
Section #2: Your Interests
An ideal Saturday afternoon in the summer is spent playing spikeball on the beach with the Rippers.
My teammate with the best taste in music is Jack Halpert because he does his research.
My favorite professional sports team is the Washington Redskins.
The best movie I’ve ever seen on a lacrosse bus trip is Four Brothers.
The foreign country I would love to visit most is New Zealand because of the adventures.

My favorite tailgate foods are BBQ pulled pork and Gatorade.
My favorite fast food restaurant is Chick-fil-A because of the chicken.
Sweet, salty or both? Sweet.
My favorite food made by a relative is my Nana’s mac and cheese.
My favorite Chapel Hill dining spot is City Kitchen.

If I possessed the gift of time travel, I would go to the Roman Coliseum in its prime.

The most interesting or fascinating person I’ve met in my time at UNC is Bonesaw because of his odd sayings.
