2022 (Senior): Saw action against Bellarmine and at Duke • Picked up a ground ball against Bellarmine • Named a Top-10 UNC Scholar-Athlete • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll
2021 (Junior): Appeared in five games for the Tar Heels • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll
2020 (Sophomore): Saw game action against Lafayette and at Furman • Remainder of season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll • Tar Heel Scholar-Athlete for the spring and fall semesters of 2019.
2019 (Freshman): Walked on to the team in the fall of 2018 • Appeared in the season opener at Mercer • Named to the 2018-19 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Prep: Attended Gilman School in Baltimore, Md., from 2014-18 • Coached there by Brooks Matthews, UNC Class of 1991 • Played club lacrosse for FCA Maryland where he was coached by 1991 Tar Heel alumnus Bryan Kelly • At Gilman he won the Teammate Award his senior season • Honor roll student all four years in high school • Volunteered for Baltimore Inner City program called Bridges • Captain of varsity soccer and wrestling teams in high school.
Personal: Cole Stevens Brown is the son of Teddy and Shannon Brown • Born September 21 in Baltimore, Md. • Has two older sisters, Hadley and Georgia • Majoring in biology • His father played lacrosse at UNC from 1986-89 and was a freshman member of the Tar Heels’ 1986 national championship team.
