General: Three-time returning letterman in the midfield...Carolina's only player from outside of the United States...enters the year as one of the favorites to handle the Tar Heel face-off duties...is a hard worker who has a really improved his game in the offseason...attending UNC on the prestigious Morehead Scholarship...participates in the UNC Honors Program...member of the UNC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee...one of the leaders on the Carolina campus in community service...he initiated a project called Carolina Dreams which allows patients at the North Carolina Children's Hospital in Chapel Hill ages 6 through 12 to attend Tar Heel athletic events with Carolina varsity athletes...he began working on the project as soon as he arrived on campus in the fall of 2002 and the program formally debuted in the fall of 2004. 2006 Season: Was one of six finalists nationwide amongst all collegiate and professional athletes for The Coach John Wooden Citizenship Cup given annually by Athletes For A Better World...named to the Dean's List in the fall semester of 2005.
2005 Season: Played in 10 games for the Tar Heels in 2005...was one of Carolina's top face-off men, winning 30 of 76 face-offs...scooped up 12 ground balls...took the opening face-off for UNC in three games...won eight face-offs and had three ground balls in season opener against Denver...won five of six face-offs against Duke in the ACC Tournament...named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for the third successive year...earned membership on the Dean's List in the spring semester of 2005...named to the ESPN The Magazine District III Olympic Sports All-Academic second team in voting by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
2004 Season: Saw action in two games for the Tar Heels...he won 8 of 12 face-offs and picked up three ground balls...won five of six face-offs in the game against UMBC and three of six face-offs against Limestone...selected for the 2004 ACC Honor Roll for the second straight year.
2003 Season: Was injured for most of the season...that limited his playing time to only one game...saw action in the season finale versus Air Force...named to 2003 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Prep: An outstanding all-around athlete at the Eastdale School....played 13 years of ice hockey as a center and forward beginning in his elementary school days...also a rugby player for three years in high school...played indoor lacrosse for four years for the Whitby Warriors Junior A Lacrosse Club... led that lacrosse club to four provincial championships...also played for the Clarington Green Gaels Junior Lacrosse Club, winning a national championship with them...led Eastdale Eagles high school hockey team to the LOSSA championship...was the captain of the hockey team...chosen for the Toronto Sun and Toronto Star Ontario All-Star Teams in hockey...was the top goal scorer on his hockey and rugby teams...named Eastdale's Athlete of the Year in 2002...a student trustee for the Durham District School Board...Student Council Prime Minister in 2001...won the Principal's Award for Leadership in 2001...was an honor roll student all through high school...grew up on a dairy farm in Ontario.
