General: One of the top attackmen in the nation...named a 2001 preseason first team All-America selection by Face-Off Yearbook...emerged as one of the top all-around athletes in the game last year, earning second team All-America and All-ACC honors...will be a starter in the attack for the fourth straight season this year.
2000 Season: Second-team All-America selection as named by U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association...also named to All-Atlantic Coast Conference Team...led the Tar Heels last season in goals scored with 33 and points with 49...added 16 assists and 34 ground balls...broke his career high for goals in a game with five in UNC’s overtime win over Navy on March 4...he scored the OT game winner in that contest...went on to add four goals at Johns Hopkins and again broke his own career high with six goals in the win against Lehigh...set a new career high for points in a game with seven against both Navy and Lehigh...had at least two points in every game last season except the regular season game against Virginia...season high for assists was three against UVa in the ACC Tournament...season high for ground balls was six in that same game...was named the ACC Player of the Week last year after scoring six goals and adding one assist against Lehigh on May 4.
1999 Season: Had a magnificent sophomore year...led the team in goals scored with 30...was second on the team in points with 47 and in assists with 17...was named an honorable mention All-America by the USILA...totaled a then career-high three goals against six different opponents—Colgate, Butler, Navy, Princeton, Johns Hopkins and UMBC...had what was then a career-high five points against Penn, UMBC and Delaware...earned his career high for assists against Delaware with four and in ground balls with 10 against Virginia...scored at least two points in all but one Tar Heel game.
1998 Season: ACC Rookie of the Year...saw extensive playing time as freshman, starting 10 games...finished the season with 13 goals, 10 assists, 23 points and 22 ground balls...had an exceptional game against Delaware with two goals and three assists...won the Jay Gallagher Award as the team’s outstanding freshman.
Prep: Played four years of lacrosse as an attackman and midfielder and four years of soccer as a forward and goalie at Seaholm High School...three-year All-State and All-Midwest choice in lacrosse...made high school All-America in lacrosse as a senior...Michigan Player of the Year as a senior...MVP of state championship lacrosse game his senior year...was BSHS’s offensive MVP twice and team MVP his senior year.
