1998 • Junior Season

Played in the final 10 regular-season games and the Las Vegas Bowl • Missed the season opener and was not at full speed until mid-season due to a fractured right ankle • Suffered that injury in the first preseason scrimmage in August • Made 12 tackles, including six primary hits • Had three tackles for losses of six yards and a three-yard quarterback sack • Had three tackles against Stanford and Virginia • Registered tackles for losses against Clemson, Florida State and Virginia • Sack was against Clemson • Was red-shirted in 1997.

1996 • Sophomore Season

Played in 10 regular-season games • Made 19 tackles and had 10 quarterback pressures, four tackles for losses and two sacks for 15 yards • Had four pressures at Syracuse, a 6-yard sack against Georgia Tech and a 9-yard sack at Wake Forest • Registered a season-high four tackles against the Yellow Jackets.

1995 • Freshman Season

One of five true freshmen to play • Had five tackles, including two solo hits • Also recorded three quarterback pressures and a tackle for loss • Made his first collegiate tackle at Louisville • Had two tackles and a pressure versus Ohio • Had a tackle for a three-yard loss in the second quarter against Wake Forest • Played in all 11 regular-season games and the Carquest Bowl.

J.H. Rose High School

A Shrine Bowl participant • All-state choice at linebacker • Had 109 tackles, including 82 solo hits and 13 sacks as a senior • Also made 12 other tackles for losses and intercepted three passes • An all-area and all-conference selection in basketball.
