Joan Holt is in her 22nd year as the administrative assistant for the North Carolina baseball program in 2022-23.

A graduate of Carolina, Holt has worked for the University in many capacities since 1980. Prior to working with the baseball program, she worked under Senior Associate Director of Athletics Dr. Beth Miller from 1985-2000.

After spending much of her childhood in New Jersey, Holt moved to Charlotte and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School. She graduated from Carolina in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education.

Joan has two children, Katie and Walter. Katie is a graduate of UNC and Walter is a graduate of East Carolina.

Holt’s hobbies include reading and spending time at Sunset Beach with her seven siblings.
