2005 - Senior season (fifth year)
Started all 11 games at offensive tackle • Can play either right or left tackle • Saw action on 749 snaps.

2004 - Junior season
Started all 12 games at left tackle, protecting quarterback Darian Durant's blind side • Had an outstanding season, grading out over 80 percent in every game and over 90 percent against No. 4 Miami, No. 18 Virginia Tech and Wake Forest •Played over 700 snaps, averaging nearly 62 snaps per game • Was second on the team in knockdown blocks • Allowed just one sack all season • Key blocker in Carolina's rushing game that was second in the league in yards per carry.

At Carolina
Played in all 12 games and was one of the team's top reserves on the offensive line in 2003 • Often split time at right tackle with Skip Seagraves • Played on 457 snaps and averaged over 38 snaps per game • Played over 40 snaps in seven of 12 games, including a season-high 61 snaps against Syracuse • Redshirted in 2001 and saw limited action in 2002.

SuperPrep All-American • Ranked as the No. 6 tight end in the country by SuperPrep • Member of Tom Lemming's All-East Team • Four-year starter who played a variety of positions, including tight end, defensive end and linebacker • As a senior, caught 30 passes for 395 yards and had six touchdowns • Was the team's third-leading tackler with 57 hits, including a team-high nine sacks • Named all-state at defensive end by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association • Named all-state at tight end by the New Haven Register • Two-year all-conference selection • Played on state championship runner-up team in 1997, 1998 and 1999 • Coached by Jeff Brameier in football and lacrosse •Was a four-year letterwinner in lacrosse and three-year letterwinner in basketball • Started on 2000 state championship lacrosse team.

Born August 27, 1982 in Livingston, N.J. • Favorite pregame meal is eggs, sausage and grits • His father, Andy, played tight end at UNC, lettering from 1972-74 • His grandfather, Lou Chacos, and his uncle, Don Chacos, both played football at Maryland • His brother, Charlie, played lacrosse at Tennessee • Best advice he ever received was his parents' advice to "learn to disagree without being disagreeable" • Says the best word to describe him is "loyal" • Goal this season is to win the ACC • If he could take three people to dinner it would be Jesus, President Bush and Howie Long • Majoring in communications.
