Fourth-year walkon. Spent one season as a quarterback on the scout team but is now in his third year at tight end. Made his first collegiate reception against Maryland in 1998. Caught a 23-yard pass from Oscar Davenport on the first play of a 62-yard touchdown drive that gave UNC a 17-7 lead in the third quarter. Is a smart player who has worked hard to get stronger.
