Played in 10 games and finished fourth on the team with 182 yards rushing on 39 carries, an average of 4.7 yards per carry, and scored three touchdowns Also caught 17 passes for 243 yards, an average of 14.3 yards per catch, and scored one touchdown Missed the Georgia Tech game after spraining his neck against Wake Forest Scored rushing touchdowns against East Carolina, Arizona State and Maryland Also caught a touchdown pass against Arizona State Had a great game in the win at East Carolina with 103 all-purpose yards, including 40 yards rushing on 10 carries and 63 yards receiving on three catches Scored on an 8-yard run at East Carolina to give the Tar Heels a 14-10 lead Had 100 all-purpose yards at Clemson with 73 yards rushing on 12 carries and 27 yards receiving with four catches Scored on a 52-yard shuffle pass at Maryland and finished the game with 69 yards receiving and eight yards rushing.

Played in 10 games and started eight as a freshman in 2000, leading the Wildcats in rushing with 611 yards on 130 carries and four touchdowns Also caught 34 passes for 261 yards Was named first-team freshman All-SEC by the SEC Coaches and was a third-team freshman All-America by The Sporting News Had more yards from scrimmage than any other freshman running back in the league Had a career-high 117 yards rushing against Miss.
