2005 All-ACC Candidate
Received a medical redshirt after tearing a tendon in his left hand in preseason practice last year Had surgery to repair the tendon and is completely recovered Had an excellent spring and enters the season as the starting defensive tackle.
2003 - Junior Season
Started all 12 games Played defensive tackle for the first nine games and switched to end for the final three Finished seventh on the team with 47 tackles, including 30 primary stops and 17 assists Had five tackles for losses of 19 yards and 1.5 sacks for nine yards Earned the coaches' praise for his effort in games against Virginia and East Carolina Had a season-high 11 tackles against Wake Forest, including five solo stops and six assists Made seven stops at Wisconsin, including 1.5 tackles for losses and a half sack Registered seven solo stops against Virginia Made five tackles at Maryland Had four tackles against Florida State, Syracuse and Georgia Tech.
2002 - Sophomore Season

Coached by John McKissick at Summerville, the largest high school in South Carolina Did not play football until his sophomore year in high school Played just one season at Summerville after transferring from Wando High School in Charleston, S.C. Participated in the Shrine Bowl Helped lead Summerville to a 11-2 record and a berth in the state playoffs Started the season at tight end and moved to offensive tackle early in the season Also played defensive tackle Named all-region Selected All-Low Country by the Palmetto Touchdown Club.
