Cameron O'Neal joined the Carolina coaching staff as a defensive graduate assistant in 2014. He will work specifically with the ram position.
A three-year letterwinner at Southern Miss, O'Neal played safety/ram for head coach Larry Fedora and helped lead the Golden Eagles to the 2011 Conference USA championship. He was a special teams captain as a senior and was named the team's most oustanding special teams performer in 2011.
After graduating from USM with a degree in mass communications, O'Neal embarked on his coaching career. He coached one season at Oak Grove middle school in Hattiesburg and then coached cornerbacks at Saraland High School in Mobile, Ala.
A native of Citronelle, Ala., O'Neal and his wife Felicia have a daughter, Londyn.
