Emily McKiernan is in her second season with the North Carolina football program and her first as the creative services coordinator. A 2015 graduate of Virginia Tech, McKiernan helps coordinate creative projects for both internal and external use and to enhance the recruiting efforts of the UNC staff. She will also work with UNC communications and creative services staffs to develop, implement and execute the creative strategy for the football program.

Prior to coming to Chapel Hill, McKiernan worked for both Calvin Klein and USA Legwear in New York. As a junior account executive at Calvin Klein, she managed the day-to-day needs of clients and assisted in the development and implementation of marketing strategies.

A native of Westchester, N.Y., McKiernan was a member of the Virginia Tech cheerleading program. In that role, she assisted in the organization of game day events for fans, recruits, alumni and the Virginia Tech Hokie Club. She also helped start and maintain social media channels for the program.
