Montgomery Bell Academy
Played four seasons as a quarterback, running back, safety and cornerback at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tenn. • Earned all-city, all-region, all-midstate and all-state honors • Led his school to the state championship as a senior and a second place finish in 1997 • Named Offensive MVP of the 1998 state title game • Coached by Ricky Bowers • Compiled 2,500 all-purpose yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions in his career • Also competed in track for four years and diving for three seasons • Two-time state champion in the 4x100 relay • Was third in the state in decathlon and fifth in the state in the 200 meters (twice) • Earned a silver medal in the national Latin exam.
