2005 - Junior Season
Played in 10 games, primarily on special teams • Posted nine tackles, including four solo stops and five assists • Had two tackles at Georgia Tech, two at NC State, one vs. Utah, one vs. Virginia, one at Miami, one vs. Maryland and one at Virginia Tech.
2004 - Sophomore Season
Had 13 tackles • Played primarily on special teams and as a reserve defensive back at both safety and cornerback • Had three tackles against Boston College in the Continental Tire Bowl • Made two tackles at Duke •Recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown against Virginia Tech • Started at safety against Utah • Had four tackles, including three primary and one assist, against Utah •Posted two tackles against Louisville.
2003: Freshman Season
Served as Carolina's special teams captain • Played on most special teams and was a reserve safety and cornerback • Made 26 tackles, including 17 primary hits and nine assists • Also recovered a fumble against Wake Forest and recorded a pass breakup against Maryland • Registered a season-high six tackles against Clemson and Maryland • Had at least one tackle in all but three games, despite playing strictly on special teams most of the time • Redshirted in 2002.

Played only two years of prep football • Rated the No. 25 prospect in North Carolina by SuperPrep • Had back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons • Carried 168 times for 1,140 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior despite a knee injury that caused him to miss two games •Rushed 255 times for 1,946 yards as a junior • Had 2,246 total yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior • Made 45 tackles and had three interceptions as a junior and did not play on defense as a senior • Two-time all-conference and all-area selection • Helped lead Brevard to a 10-3 record as a junior and a 10-2 record as a senior • Had 423 career carries for 3,086 yards and scored 37 touchdowns • Finished his career with 3,506 total yards of offense • Coached by Dan Essenberg • Also played basketball and ran track.
