2011 - Junior Season
Played in all 13 games as the top reserve at defensive end • Averaged more than 25 snaps per game • Finished the regular season with 29 tackles, including four for losses and two sacks • Also broke up two passes and had two quarterback hurries • Tore the ACL in his right knee vs. Missouri in the Independence Bowl • Posted a season-high five tackles in a 37-21 win over Duke • Had four tackles and broke up a pass at Virginia Tech • Had a 3-yard tackle for loss at NC State • Assisted on a tackle in a 49-24 win over Wake Forest • Recorded three tackles in a 59-38 loss to Clemson • Had one tackle in a 30-24 loss to Miami • Posted three tackles in a 14-7 victory over Louisville • Posted two tackles, both for losses, in a 35-20 victory at East Carolina • Had one tackle in a loss at Georgia Tech • Recorded one tackle in a 28-17 victory vs. Virginia • Had two tackles, including a 5-yard sack, in a 24-22 victory vs. Rutgers • Carolina limited the Scarlet Knights to just one yard rushing, the fewest by an opponent since 2000 • Posted two tackles in Carolina's 42-10 win over James Madison.
2010 - Sophomore Season
Played in all 13 games and started 12 at defensive end • Played, but did not start against Rutgers • Played his best football down the stretch with 10.5 of his 13.5 tackles for losses coming in the second half of the season • Finished the regular season with 49 tackles, 13.5 tackles for losses of 77 yards, 7.0 sacks for 57 yards, and one pass breakup • Ranked second on the team in tackles for losses and sacks • Was seventh in the ACC in sacks • Was one of the team's defensive players of the game in the Music City Bowl win over Tennessee when he posted six tackles, 2.5 tackles for losses, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one blocked kick • Blocked an extra point in the fourth quarter, which kept Tennessee's lead at three • Carolina later kicked a field goal to tie the game • Had three tackles and a half sack in the win at Duke • Had the best game of his career against NC State with 10 tackles, four tackles for losses and two sacks • Assisted on a sack and had two tackles vs. Virginia Tech • Registered a 9-yard sack and had four tackles at Florida State • Posted five tackles vs. William & Mary and had a 12-yard sack on the Tribe's final series • Had one tackle in the win at Virginia and the win vs. Clemson • Posted two tackles in the wins over ECU and Rutgers • Made five tackles against Georgia Tech • Made his first career start vs. LSU in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game and had five tackles and a tackle for loss.
