Played four years of football at defensive back and wide receiver at Hertford County High in Ashokie for Coach Daryl Allen. Was named all-state, Roanoke-Chowan Defensive Player of the Year, Hertford County High School Player of the Year, Big Eight AAA All-Conference. Led the state in 1997 with 13 interceptions. Also played four years of basketball at point guard and small forward and ran track for three years. Favorite professional teams are the Philadelphia 76ers and the Denver Broncos. Would like to switch places for a day with Allen Iverson. Greatest athletic moment came in the second round of the high school state playoffs when he scored the tying touchdown in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime. Born Jason Dennard Horton on Feb. 16, 1980. Enrolled in the General College.
