2018 - Junior Season
Appeared in seven games, starting four, at linebacker • Tallied 27 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 3.5 TFL, a PBU and a forced fumble • Opened the season with five tackles, 1.5 sacks and 2.5 TFL at Cal • Registered 6 tackles and a forced fumble at ECU • Added four stops versus Pitt • Made one stop at Miami • Recorded five tackles and a PBU against Virginia Tech • Posted five tackles and a TFL at Syracuse • Added a stop at Virginia.
2017 - Sophomore Season
Appeared in 11 games and made four starts at linebacker • Finished with 40 tackles and 4.0 tackles for loss • Also had one fumble recovery that resulted in a TD • Recorded eight tackles, a pass breakup and a QB hurry in the season finale at NC State • Finished with a career-high 11 tackles and returned a fumble 28 yards for a TD in the win over WCU • Had a pair of tackles at Virginia Tech • Tallied five tackles and a TFL against Notre Dame • Finished with two solo tackles at Georgia Tech • Started against Duke and had a pair of tackles • Finished with six tackles (three solo) in his first career start at ODU • Had four tackles against Louisville • Returned to the field after missing the second half of 2016 and saw time primarily on special teams against Cal.
2016 - True Freshman Season
Played in the first five games of the season before suffering a foot fracture and ending his freshman campaign • Had one tackle against Florida State • Enrolled at UNC in January and participated in spring practice.

Ranked the No. 26 player in North Carolina by 247sports.com and the No. 11 inside linebacker in the country • Considered the No. 20 player in North Carolina and the No. 17 inside linebacker in the nation by Rivals.com • Member of North Carolina’s Shrine Bowl team • Named the area Defensive Player of the Year by WPDE-TV • Helped lead Scotland to its fifth-straight Southeastern Conference championship as a senior by recording 120 tackles (17 for loss), one forced fumble and recovery, and three INTs • Provided the highlight of the Scotland’s season in the regular season finale against Richmond Senior, picking of a pass in the red zone during the final seconds • Twice named all-state • Named the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season • As a junior, was named to the 2014 AP all-state team and earned conference player of the year honors as Scotland finished 12-2 overall and advanced to the third round of the state 4A playoffs • Totaled a team-high 156 tackles (22 for loss), four sacks and an INT that season • High school head coach was Richard Bailey.
