A three-year letterman as a punter at the Baylor School • Rated as a 4.5 star punter and placekicker by Koh’s Kicking • Punted 81 times for a 41-yard average, landing 28 inside the 20 over his final two seasons • A preseason all-state selection prior to his senior season • Had 34 punts for a 41-yard average, landing eight inside the 20 and having nine fair caught • Posted a long punt of 73 yards • Punted 47 times for a 41-yard average, downing 19 inside the 20, as a junior • Served as the soccer team’s goalkeeper for four seasons • Helped the Baylor School to a state championship as a senior • Was a two-time first-team Best of Preps selection at goalie by the Chattanooga Times Free Press • A three-time first-team all-state selection at goalie by the TSWA and THSSCA • Also competed in golf as a freshman and sophomore • Helped the Baylor School to a state title as a sophomore • Served as the Vice Chair for the Honor Council as a senior • Was a member of the Honor Council as a junior and senior • Served as a dorm prefect as a junior and senior • Studied in the Harris-Stanford Honors Program • Coached by Phil Massey.

Son of Elizabeth and David Pokela • Grandfather played baseball at Minnesota • His dad and aunt attended UNC and his brother is currently enrolled • Birthday is Aug. 12.
