2019 – Senior Season

Started all 13 games at safety • Honorable mention All-ACC selection • Finished third on the team with 83 tackles • Led the team with six pass breakups • Had seven tackles playing in his hometown of Charlotte in the season opener against South Carolina • Came up with 10 tackles against Miami • Had five tackles, 1.0 TFL, two PBU and an INT at Wake Forest • Had a season-high 12 tackles and two TFL against App State • Came up with three tackles against Clemson • Registered six tackles at Georgia Tech • Had a season high 12 tackles at Virginia Tech • Had five tackles against Duke • Posted six tackles and a QB hurry against Virginia • Had five tackles and two PBU at Pitt • Had four tackles and an INT at NC State •

2018 - Junior Season

Started all eight games he appeared in at safety • Recorded 55 tackles, 2.5 TFL, a pressure, two INTs and three PBU • Made six tackles at Cal • Posted five tackles, a TFL and a PBU versus Virginia Tech •Tallied a career-high 14 tackles, a half TFL and a pressure at Syracuse • Notched six tackles, an INT and a PBU at Virginia • Added eight tackles against Georgia Tech • Posted eight tackles, a TFL and an INT at Duke • Made three stops against Western Carolina • Tallied five tackles and a PBU versus NC State.

2017 - Sophomore Season

Started all 12 games at safety • Ranked third on the team with 71 total tackles and 2.5 for loss • Tied for the team lead with two INTs • Had five pass breakups, a QB hurry, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery • Led Carolina with 10 tackles and a had one TFL at NC State • Finished with three tackles and two pass breakups in the win over WCU • Had three stops in the win at Pitt • Finished with five tackles against Miami • Had nine stops at Virginia Tech • Finished with six tackles against Virginia • Registered his first two career INTs and had nine tackles against Notre Dame • Finished with two solo tackles and a fumble recovery at Georgia Tech • Notched a then career-best 11 tackles (six solo) against Duke • Finished with four tackles and forced a fumble at the goal line in the win at ODU • Had a career-high seven tackles (three solo), combined on a TFL and broke up a pass against Louisville • Started the season opener against Cal and finished with two tackles and a pass breakup.

2016 - True Freshman Season

Appeared in all 13 games at safety • Finished the season with 32 total tackles, one tackle for loss, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery • Tallied four stops in the Sun Bowl • Had a career-high five tackles in the win over James Madison.

Outstanding athlete who played defensive back and wide receiver in high school • Rated the No. 14 player in North Carolina by Rivals.com and the No. 17 safety in the country • Considered the No. 20 player in North Carolina by 247sports.com and the No. 21 player by ESPN.com • Standout on both sides of the ball for Vance, recording six INTs as a defensive back and 1,393 yards on 95 catches as a wide receiver • Coached by Aaron Brand.

Personal

Son of Torin Dorn, former UNC running back and defensive back from 1986-89 • Torin rushed for 1,071 yards in his first three years in Chapel Hill, then started every game as a senior at cornerback before embarking on a six-year NFL career • His mother, Rhonda, also graduated from UNC • Brother, Torin Jr., played basketball at NC State • Birthday is June 25 • Graduated with a degree in communication studies in 2020.
