Moved from fullback to tight end during spring practice • Gives the Tar Heels added depth after the departure of NFL draft picks Alge Crumpler and Dauntae’ Finger • Has played a variety of positions in three years at Carolina • Was the Tar Heels’ holder on all field goal and extra point tries in 2000 • Had one rushing attempt for a loss of 10 yards on a failed fake field goal at Pittsburgh • Moved from linebacker to quarterback in the spring of 2000 • Shifted to quarterback after four days of spring ball • Has not played the position in a game, however, in three years • Played primarily on special teams in four games in 1999 • Played against Florida State a season-high 10 plays • Also appeared in games against Georgia Tech, NC State and Duke • Was red-shirted in 1998.
