Experienced, intelligent fifth-year senior. Should start at defensive end for the second straight year. Physically is in the best shape in his collegiate career. Can play either end position. Has good speed and agility.
1999 -- Junior Season
Played in 11 games and made nine starts at defensive end. Finished with 39 tackles and had eight quarterback pressures and one pass breakup. Had five tackles for losses for 12 yards, including two quarterback sacks for five yards. Had a season-high seven tackles against Clemson and six versus Wake Forest. Had two tackles for losses, one of them a 4-yard sack, at Clemson. Had five solo tackles in the win over NC State. Played 441 snaps with a high of 57 against Furman and 53 versus Duke. Played 50 or more snaps in four games.
1998 -- Sophomore Season
Played in eight regular-season games and the Las Vegas Bowl a total of 114 downs. Played a season-high 43 snaps in the game at Stanford. Played 20 snaps against Pittsburgh. Sprained his right ankle at Florida State game. That injury caused him to miss the next three contests. Caused a fumble and had a three-yard tackle for loss against Pittsburgh.

An all-state selection by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Metro defensive player of the year. Made 122 tackles in his junior and senior years.
