2015 – Senior Season
Started 11 games • Finished the year with 48 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup • Had a season-high seven tackles against the Wolfpack before suffering a season-ending torn Achilles and missing the ACC Championship Game and Russell Athletic Bowl • After missing the Miami game due to injury, had three tackles in the win at Virginia Tech • Finished with three tackles in the win over Duke • Had four stops in the win at Pitt • Tallied four tackles and his first interception of the year in the win over Virginia • Matched a season high with six stops in consecutive wins over Georgia Tech and Wake Forest • Had four stops and a tackle for loss in the win over Delaware • Also had four tackles in the Illinios win • Starting free safety just missed his first career touchdown on a 52-yard fumble recovery in the win over NC A&T • Also had two solo tackles against the Aggies • Finished with five tackles (three solo) in the season opener against South Carolina.
2014 - Junior Season
Returned from missing the entire 2013 season to play in all 13 games and start five as a junior in 2014 • Posted 52 tackles (32 solo), three pass breakups, one interception and one fumble recovery • Made five stops and broke up a pass against Rutgers in the Quick Lane Bowl • Had five tackles against NC State • Finished with four stops in three consecutive games against Virginia, Miami and Pitt • Had a tackle and a fumble recovery at Notre Dame • Finished with five tackles (four solo) against Virginia Tech • Had four solo tackles and an interception at Clemson • Tallied a season-high seven stops at East Carolina • Had five tackles (four solo) and a pass breakup in the win over San Diego State • In his first action since the 2012 season, finished with four tackles against Liberty.
2013 - Sophomore Season
Missed the entire season with a foot injury.
2012 - Redshirt Freshman Season
Appeared in seven games at safety and started five • Finished the season with 26 tackles, 12 of which were solo efforts • Missed five games due to injury • Had one solo tackle in the Georgia Tech game • Finished with a pair of stops in the win over NC State • Established a career high with 11 tackles at Louisville but missed the two games due to injury • Had nine stops, including a career-best six primary tackles, at Wake Forest • Tallied three tackles in the season opener against Elon.
Raines High School
Member of the Jacksonville Times-Union Super 24 team • Played quarterback as a senior in high school and led Raines to 9-3 record and a berth in the state playoffs • Threw for 2,000 yards and 13 touchdowns and had 16 rushing touchdowns • Missed most of his junior season after tearing a ligament in his foot • Also played basketball • Coached by Duran Wiley.
