Chad is the first Canadian we've recruited since we've been here.
He's got phenomenal stick skills.
He's an energizer bunny type of guy. He's out there going a hundred miles an hour all the time.
He can make plays. He's a great shooter. Understands where to put the ball and plays very hard.
General: First Canadian recruited to Carolina during the Joe Breschi coaching era...outstanding 6-2, 200-pound attackman...recently was named to Team Canada for the 2012 FIL U19 World Championships to be held in Turku, Finland.
Prep: Attended the Hill Academy in Vaughn, Ontario...was coached there by Brodie Merrill and Merrick Thomson...the leading scorer at the Hill Academy in 2010...played box lacrosse since 1996, field lacrosse since 1999 and was an ice hockey player from 1998-2009...he played club lacrosse for the Courtice Cougars and in 2009 led that team in goal scoring while also being the captain and MVP...led Cougars to 2009 LOSSA championships...also played ice hockey on the prep and club level...played in 2010 Big City Classic to open new Meadowlands Stadium...in 2009, he played for the Canadian National Box Lacrosse silver medalists in the Founders Cup as member of Clarington Green Gaels and the previous year was on the Canadian National Gold Medal championship team (Team Ontario Box Lacrosse) and the Ontario Summer Games gold medal title-winning squad (Whitby Warriors)...member of 2006, 2007 and 2008 Provincial Gold Medal Champions as member of Whitby Warriors...played for Edge Senior Elite that won 2010 gold medal in Dick's Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions...attended Courtice Secondary School prior to transferring to the Hill Academy...while there he won an Ontario Scholar Athlete Award and was chosen as the school's Face of the Future as the athlete most likely to succeed.
Personal: Chad Christopher Tutton is the son of Chris and Tracy Tutton...was born August 31, 1992 in Oshawa, Ontario...undeclared major.

Section #1 (Lacrosse Related)
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel lacrosse player is playing in the toughest conference in the NCAA.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach Breschi is knowing every player earns their playing time in practice.
3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is my right hand.
4. My best friend on another college lacrosse team is Stefan Diachenko (St. John's) or Dan Lintner (Cornell).
5. My greatest strength as a lacrosse player is my ability to make quick decisions on fast breaks and close to the cage.
Section #2 (Chad's Interests)
1. Away from the lacrosse field and academic pursuits I like to spend time with friends and family.
2. The best movie I've seen recently is Lord of War.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be football.
4. The music act I'd most like to see in person is AC/DC.
5. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is I'm a die-hard country music fan.
Section #3 (Food and Beverage)
1. After a game at Fetzer Field, I'd like to see a tailgate spread that included various meats, salads and chocolate milk.
2. My favorite beverage is blue Gatorade.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is my Auntie Gene's lemon meringue pie.
4. My favorite place to eat in Chapel Hill is Qdoba.
5. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise is deep fried Mars bars.

1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I'd like to go to the 70s.
2. My most prized personal possession is my Oakley Minute Machine Watch.
3. If I could go to dinner with a famous person it would be Jennifer Aniston.
4. My dream job is a lacrosse coach.
5. The most interesting person I've met at UNC is Coach Myers.
