2003-04: Showed terrific promise in his first ACC Championships as a Tar Heel...was the top Carolina finisher in the 100-yard breaststroke, taking 11th place with a then personal best 57.05...swam the breaststroke leg of the fifth place 400-yard medley relay...dropped two full seconds from the preliminaries to take 17th place in the 200-yard breaststroke bonus final with a time of 2:06.69...also competed in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in 21.54...swam the breaststroke leg of the 200-yard medley relay.
