Matt Cunningham
Breschi on Cunningham: Has done a nice job…great hands free shooter on the right side...working on his dodging, but can shoot the lights out of the ball…really came in this year in great shape…has worked really hard to be a contributor at the attack position.
2017 (Junior): Earned the Dick Baddour Academic Success Award for having the team’s highest grade point average during the 2016-17 school year…named to 2016-17 ACC Academic Honor Roll…played in one game, seeing action against Dartmouth…named to Dean’s List both semesters.
At Loyola: Transfer from Loyola University of Maryland... won Dean’s List honors at Loyola twice.
High School: Graduated from Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Mass. …attended Deerfield from 2009-13 ...was coached there by Chip Davis...named to New England West All-Star Team...played on teams which won three New England West titles...NSCLA All-America for club team MadLax...tapped for Reebok National Team…Reebok National Team member.

My favorite thing about wearing Carolina Blue is being part of a storied program.
I love competing for this incredible coaching staff because their passion for the game is strong.
My most underrated strength about my lacrosse game is my speed.
My best friend on my high school lacrosse team was Walt Gahagan and he is now playing at Cornell.
Every high school recruit should dream of becoming a Tar Heel because of the incredible balance of academics and athletics.
Section #2: Your Interests
An ideal Saturday afternoon in the summer is spent on the beach.
My teammate with the best taste in music is Jack Halpert because he respects OG House.
My favorite professional sports team is the New England Patriots.
The best movie I’ve seen on a lacrosse bus trip is Zootopia.
The foreign country I would most love to visit most is Spain.
Section #3: Food
My favorite tailgate foods are burgers with fries.
My favorite fast food restaurant is Chick-Fil-A because of the nuggets.
Sweet, salty or both? Both.
My favorite food made by a relative is my Mom’s chocolate chip cookies.
My favorite Chapel Hill dining spot is Lucha Tigre.

If I possessed the gift of time travel, I would go to 1960s New York City.
The person in history I would most want to have dinner with is Avicii.
People would be very surprised to know I run a music website.
In a quarter century I would love to be living in San Francisco and working at a startup.
The most interesting or fascinating person I’ve met in my time at UNC is Andrew Montross because he is a legend.
