Member of North Carolina's Shrine Bowl team • Helped lead Rose (16-0) to an undefeated season and its third-straight 4-A state title as a senior • Had one catch for six yards and recovered a fumble that led to a Rose score in the 2005 title game • Also had three tackles and a sack in that game • Played tight end and defensive end in high school • Rose held opponents to less than seven points per game over the last two seasons • Posted 70 tackles, 7.5 sacks and 10 tackles for losses as a junior • Coached by Greg Thomas.
