Born Duwe Gallagher Farris on Sept. 1, 2000 • Son of Rip and Blair Farris • Played on the UNC Junior Varsity team in 2019-20 • Is a fourth-generation Tar Heel student-athlete • His father, Ray III, known as Rip, ran track at UNC in the late 1980s • His grandfather, Ray Jr., was quarterback from 1959-61, and later served on UNC’s Board of Governors • His great-grandfather, Ray, captained the team in 1929 • His maternal grandfather, Doug Duwe, was an All-America swimmer at Texas in 1959 and 1961 • His sister, Sydeny, was graduated from UNC, and his brother, Oliver, is a high school senior • His mother owns a magazine devoted to interior design • Double-majored in political science and business administration, earning his undergraduate degree in May 2023 • Was enrolled in UNC's academic honors program • Pursuing a masters in applied professional studies at Carolina.
