Born John Thomas Holbrook on Dec. 22, 2005, in Hickory • Played for Coach Daniel Willis at Hickory High School • Led Hickory to a 31-1 record (undefeated in league play) and a No. 18 ranking in the state as a senior • Western Foothills Conference Player of the Year and earned all-district honors • Averaged 14.6 points, 7,4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks as a senior • Played for PSB CLT Elite’s U17 team • Also played varsity golf for four years • Honors student • Played the tuba and is a talented billiards player • Majoring in business administration.
