Dane's doing a good job for us. He improved a lot in fall ball.
I think he's still catching up to the speed of play but he's getting stronger in the weight room and really working hard on his foot speed to improve his game.
He's a good one-on-one defender and I think he's trying to catch on to the team concept.
General: A 6-1, 195-pound defenseman.
Prep: Was a two-sport athlete at Moorestown High School in football and lacrosse...was coached in the lacrosse by Baron Wallenhurst...was a four-year varsity starter on defense in lacrosse and the 2011 team captain...led Moorestown to state lacrosse championships in 2008 and 2011 and a state finals appearance in 2009...as a senior was named first-team All-State and first-team All-Skyland Conference...a two-time first-team All-County selection...was named first-team All-South Jersey by the Philadelphia Inquirer and Courier Post...copped All-State honors by Newark Star Ledger...New Jersey All-State Gil Gibbs Game participant...New Jersey coaches first-team all-state selection...was ranked as the #15 defender in the country in 2011 by ESPN Rise Magazine...played guard and defensive end on football team...a four-year scholar-athlete honoree...graduated with high honors.

Section #1 (Lacrosse Related)
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel lacrosse player is the feeling that I'm a member of a family instead of a player on a team.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach Breschi is that his coaching program not only makes me a better player but a better person.
3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is conditioning.
4. My best friend on another college lacrosse team is Sandro Randazzo.
5. My greatest strengths as a lacrosse player are lacrosse IQ and footwork.
Section #2 (Dane's Interests)
1. Away from the lacrosse field and academic pursuits I like to spend time fishing.
2. The best movie I've seen recently is Shutter Island.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be basketball.
4. The music act I'd most like to see in person is Kid Cudi.
5. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is reading.
Section #3 (Food and Beverage)
1. After a game at Fetzer Field, I'd like to see a tailgate spread that included wings, pulled pork, mac and cheese, ribs, burgers and anything else you could find at a barbecue.
2. My favorite beverage is sweet tea.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is mac and cheese.
4. My favorite place to eat in Chapel Hill is Time-Out.
5. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise is Chipotle.

1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I'd like to go to ancient Rome.
