"Jeff, being two years deep into the program now, is a veteran and has shown signs of tremendous ability on the offensive end of the field. He needs to show that consistency for us. He has a great shot, he's good on ground balls and plays very solid defense."
2011 (Junior): Selected for fall 2010 Dean's List.
2010 (Sophomore): Showed great improvement as a sophomore, increasing his playing time in the midfield significantly...played in 11 matches and had two goals and three assists, along with four ground balls...scored the first goal of his career against Dartmouth and then had a goal and two assists in the regular season finale against Ohio State...also assisted on a goal in UNC's 14-13 NCAA Tournament victory over Delaware....had four different games with one ground ball each...had a great year academically...earned honors on 2010 All-ACC Academic Men's Lacrosse Team...copped honors on ACC Academic Honor Roll for second straight year.
2009 (Freshman): Played in three games as a freshman in the midfield...saw action against Robert Morris, Denver and Detroit Mercy...had two ground balls and a caused turnover against the Titans...named to the 2008-09 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Community Service & Leadership: A Rising Star in the Carolina Leadership Academy in 2009-10...has volunteered four times for Special Olympics events...volunteered for four years with Boston Food Bank...worked at local Chapel Hill youth lacrosse clinics and has volunteered with Chapel Hill Habitat for Humanity.

1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel lacrosse player is that it is a childhood dream materializing.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach Breschi is that he is compassionate about winning.
3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is getting healthy.
4. My best friend on another college lacrosse team is Michael Shakespeare (University of Maryland).
5. My greatest strength as a lacrosse player is speed.

1. Away from the lacrosse field and academic pursuits I like to spend time playing golf.
2. The best movie I've seen recently is You're Welcome America.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be squash.
4. The music act I'd most like to see in person is DJ Egan.
5. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is that I hunt with a crossbow.

1. After a game at Fetzer Field, I'd like to see a tailgate spread that included Mrs. Staine's cookies.
2. My favorite beverage is chocolate milk.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is my Uncle Mitch's fried pickles.
