Jessie Cuccia, 6-2, 215 pounds
Pronounced: Last name is pronounced KOO-chee-UH.
Breschi on Cuccia: He did not play football this year…he had a very good fall season…scored and had three points against Ohio State while playing in the second midfield line so he will be battling for a spot there.
2018 (Junior): Saw action in three games, playing against Mercer, Richmond and Notre Dame.
2017 (Sophomore): Played both attack and midfield…saw action in four games…scooped up a pair of ground balls against Dartmouth...put on 15 pounds playing football in fall 2016 for UNC’s team which played in the Sun Bowl.
2016 (Freshman): Played in three games...scored his first career goal in win over Manhattan.
High School: Graduated from Westlake High School in Westlake, Calif. ...coached in lacrosse there by Mario Waibel...three-time high school All-America...named to All-Region Team four times…four-year starter on lacrosse team…four-time All-League honoree...captained team three years...twice named squad’s overall MVP and also won offensive MVP on three occasions...named first-team All-County three times...his team was L.A. semifinalists four times and also won four Marmonte league titles…the squad also won a CIF championship in 2011...played for three different club teams - Goon Lacrosse L.A. coached by Mario Waibel, Tropics Lacrosse California and Long Island Sting Lacrosse coached by Ken Miller...attended multiple camps throughout high school - Tropics 2015, Hotbeds All-Star, UNC All-Star and Colorado All-Star...four-year honor roll student...student government board treasurer...school MC representative...logged 80 plus hours of community service…three-year member of student government.

My favorite thing about wearing Carolina Blue is the pride and respect that comes with it.
I love competing for this incredible coaching staff because they they bring out the best athlete in you.
My most underrated strength about my lacrosse game is my prothy handles.
My best friend on my high school lacrosse team was Connor O’Brian and he is now playing at Cornell.
Every high school recruit should dream of becoming a Tar Heel because it’s the best all-around university in the nation.
Section #2: Your Interests
An ideal Saturday afternoon in the summer is spent with the boys on the stoop.
My teammate with the best taste in music is myself because this one time I killed the DJ stand.
My favorite professional sports team is the Philadelphia Eagles.
The best movie I’ve seen on a lacrosse bus trip is Crooked Arrows.
The continent I would love to visit the most is Southeast Asia because of its culture.
Section #3: Food
My favorite tailgate food is Lucha Tigre.
My favorite fast food restaurant is Al’s Burger Shack because it’s dank.
Sweet, salty or both? Both.
My favorite food made by a relative is Dad’s steak and mac.
My favorite Chapel Hill dining spot is Lucha Tigre.

If I possessed the gift of time travel I would go to 2016 to relive the national championship.
The person in history I would most want to have dinner with is Abraham Lincoln.
People would be very surprised to know I play lacrosse.
In a quarter century I would love to be living on a mountain and not working.
The most interesting or fascinating person I’ve met in my time at UNC is Steiner because he is legend.
